I love a good flea market..

Hello friends!

Do you enjoy going to flea markets?  I do.  Does that mean I'm old??

I don't think so because the flea markets I like have to be good ones.  I have been to a few that just sell junk.

Well, they all sell junk.  But a good flea market will have good junk mixed in with the junky junk.

From May to October there is a good junk flea market once a month nearby.

This makes me so happy!

I try to go to every one but missed May.  However, June's market did not disappoint...

Letters, we've got letters... we've got lots and lots of letters... (name that tune)

Lots of patriotic stuff since the 4th is right around the corner.  (Ugh!  Where is the summer going?!)

Howdy Uncle Sam,

Lots of cute metal signs, antique dough bowls (always too expensive) and plants.  I loved the little metal heart painted with chalkboard paint but I passed on it.  Does anyone know what kind of plant those are?  

More cool metal signs.  And, those big things with holes in them sitting on top are pendant lights.  Awesomely rustic and industrial.  (They'll be in Restoration Hardware next month for a hundred grand each, Ha!)

  This green farmhouse table would make a statement in somebodies dining room don't ya think?  I like it.

This set up is pretty cute but I bet those chairs aren't very comfortable.  I love the color of the Ford truck bed door in the back.

There were cute live topiaries everywhere and I really wanted to buy one but I knew that I would kill it.  Because I'm a stone cold plant serial killer.  Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!

These guys had some cute stuff.  I liked all the colorful painted wood boxes.  But then I decided that they only look really cute like that when there are a bunch of them together.  I don't have anywhere to put those cute colorful boxes all together.  Darn.  

Although I didn't buy too much.  It's always fun to look, get ideas, people watch, and eat some really healthy fair food.  (What?  Fair food is not healthy?!).

Hello lovelies,

After a couple of excruciatingly hot and muggy days we are having a good old fashioned thunderstorm.

I love a good rain every once in a while.

The downfall is that all of the thunder and lightning scares the bejeezus out of my kids.  I always tell them to remember that God is bowling up in heaven and it's pretty noisy, lightning means he got a strike.

They totally go for it.

Every time.

Such sweet innocence. :)

Since it's raining we'll have to party inside.   Come on in, friend.

Les chaises de couleur bleues allèrent  avec les murs blancs. De l'autre côté de la salle de séjour il ya un mur bleu bien assorti avec les meubles marron qui ressemblent assez sûr dans différentes nuances et matières.

Cette maison est en effet un éclat. La vue est magnifique de l'extérieur, même les intérieurs sont magnifique en soi! Les couleurs chics rendent espace si bien.

Voici un autre exemple d'un autre salon inspiré asiatique. La chaise longue imprimée est charmée par les coussins colorés. Les murs bleus et les garnitures mignonnes dans cet espace donnent à ce salon un charme exceptionnel.

C'est un salon chic. Avec des tissus de couleur unis pour les coussins.La table centrale contemporaine est vraiment très jolie.

Les choix des couleurs claires dans ce salon rend cette pièce très amusante et un peu funky. Le mobilier de couleur sombre neutralise les couleurs disponibles pour les murs et les décors.

Nous aimons cette utilisation des couleurs dans ce salon. Très moins dans les gravures et complet avec couleurs simples terreuses. C'est fondamentalement le tapis qui a ajouté les gravures dans ce salon.

Chandelier help... can I paint this fabric?

Hello there, lovelies.

Look what I got for free!

Pretty cool, right?!

I love the style, it has pretty crystals that attach and hang from the chandelier for a little bling-bling.

But the color.... umm, it is not so good.

Especially that shade, the picture is actually making it look better than it looks in real life.

The shade is sort of a shimmery baby poop colored brownish gold.

It just ain't workin' for me.

Or my house. :(

I've looked for a replacement shade and can not find one this large, it's about 24" across. Plus, the shade frame is welded to the chandelier and not removable but I can't find one anyway so who cares.

I know I can recover the shade with new fabric but since I've never done this before I'm a little worried that it won't turn out well and will look sloppy.

Do you guys think I can paint this fabric with fabric paint?  It is a see-through, shimmery, satin-type fabric.

Do any of you have any experience painting this type of fabric?  I'm scared I'm going to ruin the whole thing.
I would appreciate any advice, friends.  Thanks in advance! :)
