Hello lovely friends! Here we are the last Flaunt it Friday of July... Yikes! Summer is just way too fast! I don't want to think about what is coming really soon... back to sch. SHHHH! Don't even say it. Let's pretend like we didn't even think about it and party, mmmmkay? :)

Hey friends! So sorry for the late party, I have been a day behind all week. That's what happens in the summertime and living is easy. Although we've been kind of busy. It was just one of those weeks that went too fast! So here it is, Flaunt it Friday on Saturday! Still a great day to party! :)

I am in the midst of garage sale H-E-double-hockey-sticks. Day one done and relatively successful and NO RAIN! This was a small miracle for around here. Rainiest summer ever!

4th of July Decor

Hello, friends!! Can you believe the 4th of July is here?!

Around here that means that summer is half over which is SO completely depressing. I was just saying at my Flaunt it Friday party that I need to consider the summer to be only half started instead of half over... you know, like the glass is half full?

Whatever, it's half over.

Anywho, I don't do a whole big bunch of Independence Day decor but I like to get a little bit of my red, white, and blue decor on.  

Mr. Chic (check out our side gig Chic Wood Creations) made these cute wooden "folded flags" for a sale we did a couple weeks ago.  I made sure to snag a couple for myself.  He hand cut each of those stars with a band saw!  My man's got mad skillzzz. 

 

They take center stage of my little Independance Day vignette.

He also made this rustic wooden flag.  It's huge so I put it next to my sideboard.  As a base and frame he used an old packing crate lid.  Bonus points for upcycling wood!

 

Here's the whole deal...

 I picked up this cute patriotic burlap banner at a flea market last year.  

 I also like to stick those cheap little flags around, they are an inexpensive way to add some patriotic flair.  (I just said "patriotic flair", ha!)

Flaunt it Friday #262

Hi, friends! Happy Independence Day weekend!  Can you believe it's already the 4th of July?  Summer is half over?!?  WHA?!

Oh man, that kind of stinks.  I must think of it that summer is only half started... that sounds a little better... kind of.

I put out a few 4th decorations that I'm going to share with you tomorrow.  Here is a little peek...

The hubs made these cute wood "Folded Flags" for me.  Come back tomorrow to see the rest.
